We met in the city.
Our most formative memories were spent by the sea—Erie in Albania, and Alexandra just across the Adriatic in Italy. The days were filled with laughter, presence, and genuine connection. Those early experiences taught us something lasting: meaningful relationships aren’t built through constant stimulation. They’re built through intention and space to truly see someone.
When we met in LA, that belief became the foundation for Met in the City.
What started as a social experiment—born out of frustration with traditional dating apps—quickly became something bigger. We began by creating lo-fi video profiles—no filters, no perfect lighting—just people showing up as themselves. We personally facilitated introductions for a cohort of 40 people, and as word spread, the community expanded organically.
Today, Met in the City is an invite-only community built on quality over quantity. Members connect through curated, real-world experiences. When a match is accepted, we schedule an in-person meet.
This isn’t just dating. It’s a return to meaningful connection in a fast-moving world.
